DIPHU, Mar 22: The Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) has condemned All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC) leader Kursing Timung for his social media post against KANCHASDCOM and other organisations which left for Delhi to hold dharna in demand for implementation of Article 244 (A) of the Constitution. The KSA asked the APHLC leader to refrain from making reckless statement during a press conference convened here in Diphu today.
The KSA led by its president Thangsing Timung during a press conference held at 11 am at its office in Rongtheang vehemently condemned the regional party leader’s social media post terming KANCHASDCOM, KARSA, KSA, DSU’s Delhi’s dharna program as ‘picnic’ and was simply carrying out BJP and RSS’s direction. The students’ organisation leader reminded that KANCHASDCOM have been holding dharna for more than 30 years in demand for implementation of Article 244 (A) of the Constitution of India and for nothing else.
“Therefore, his social media post was completely reckless and therefore, must refrain from making such unwarranted and unacceptable statement against KADHASDCOM and other organisations which have left for Jantar Mantar, Delhi to hold dharna for early fulfillment of the long pending political demand of the twin hills districts of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao,” KSA president Thangsing Timung said.
The KSA president was accompanied by general secretary Budho Terang, finance secretary Baliram Engti, assistant general secretary Raju Engti , George Rongpi, Bishnu Bey and Barnabas Timung among others.
