DIPHU, Mar 22: The ten solar street lights installed by the 20th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was dedicated to the public by the Karbi Anglong Deputy Commissioner Madhumita Bhagwati at Rongmirdan here in Diphu today.
The street lights were dedicated by DC Bhagwati in presence of SIC Commandant Tilak Raj and MAC Tilottoma Hasnu, GB Gandhiram Rongphar, officers, villagers and jawans of the 20th CRPF Battalion. The Commandant through a press release informed that the street lights were installed and donated to meet the essential needs of the village.
Further, the CRPF 20th Bn officer informed that several other projects including waiting shed, resting shed, toilet blocks, free medical camps and medicines for the welfare and needs of the poor people of the twin hills districts of Karbi Anglong have been provided through them under the aegis of IG (OPS) Jorhat Sector.
