
DIPHU, Mar 25: One toilet block (one urinal and one latrine) with a septic tank constructed by 20 Bn CRPF at Rongchitim Development Committee, Near St. Mary’s English High School, Ward No. 13, Diphu was formally inaugurated today.
The toilet block constructed under Civic Action Programme 2022-23 was inaugurated by Diphu MLA Bidya Sing Engleng. The event was presided by Tilak Raj (2-1/C) Commandant (AOD) in presence of Rongchetim Development Committee president Chandra Tisso, secretary Dharam Sing Kro, GB Jen Sing Engleng, officers and jawans of 20th Battalion CRPF and villagers.

The toilet block comprising of one urinal and one lavatory, has been constructed and donated to meet the very essential requirement of the Peoples of Rongchetim village, Diphu, Karbi Anglong. Assam and handed over to Rongchetim Development Committee on 25/03/2023.
Meanwhile, the 20 Bn. CRPF had been awarded as the ‘Best Battalion serving in Northeast.’ The award was received by its Commandant (CO) Swarn Singh during the CRPF Raising Day event held in Chhattisgarh. Union Home Minister Amit Shah who was the chief guest of the event gave away the award in presence of CRPF Director General Dr. Sujoy Lal Thaosen.
