DIPHU, Mar 25: KAAC EM i/c Education Department Richard Tokbi, distributed aids and appliances for CWSN children today during the ceremonial distribution programme organised at Dimasa Club, Diphu. The event was conducted by the Department of Education where the EM was present as the chief guest.
While speaking on the occasion EM Tokbi mentioned that as per section 3(2) of RTE Act, no child irrespective of their physical inability should be deprived of getting basic elementary education as RTE Act provides for free and compulsory education to all children from the age group of 6-14 year.
The EM also encouraged the parents to send their children to school as the government has provided all the necessary tools and infrastructure to cater to the need of CWSN children, whereas the teachers of government schools are also specially trained to deal with such children.
KAAC Joint Secretary Nirupama Timungpi, ADMC, SSA Nayan Pathak, SDPEO Sonsing Tokbi and BMCs among parents and beneficiary children attended the programme.
