DOLAMARA, Jan 11: Eyeing to promote eco-tourism Kaziranga wildlife and Forest personnel visited the deep wood of Longhup and Tara aji water fall on Tuesday.
The group after visiting waterfall and other in their interaction with media said that the natural beauty of the area is extremely enchanting stating that the virgin forest, river and diversity has huge potential to draw nature lover and tourists from beyond the districts and states.
Speaking of their visit, the group stated that their visit is aimed at promoting eco-tourism and raising the awareness on the need to develop adventure and tourism without harming the natural beauty.
On the lack of road and communication network, the visiting group stated that development of any sector cannot happen without road and absence of road is injustice to the people of the area who deserve all attention as they are still deprived of all basic needs and infrastructure.
The group also urged upon the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council to take measures for addressing road woes and promote eco-tourism which has huge potential to raise local economy and source of livelihood for the villagers.
