20 Bn CRPF inaugurates three public amenities

DIPHU, Mar 29: The 20 Bn. CRPF today inaugurated three different public amenities at different places under Bokajan sub-division.

Under the Civic Action Programme- 2022-23, a borewell for drinking water with Submersible Pump and 2000 Ltrs Water Storage Tank was installed by 20 Bn, CRPF at Bongrung Gaon, Khatkhati. It was inaugurated by the president of United International Mission, Bongrung Christopher Prince Fernandes. The inauguration event was presided over by Commandant-20 Bn CRPF Swarn Singh, in presence of Tilak Raj (2-1/C), SGB Babu Bongrung, officers of various ranks and jawans of 20th Battalion, CRPF. Another facility inaugurated today was a small wooden/round RCC Pipe Bridge sized 10’x8′ in the same village. This was done in order to lessen the hurdles of communication faced by the villagers.

The third amenity dedicated to the public today was a bus stand shed for passengers. The 14’x9’x9′ was repaired/renovated by 20 Bn, CRPF under the Civic Action Programme – 2022-23. It was inaugurated by Gopal Yadava, Commandant, GC CRPF Khatkhati and presided over by Swarn Singh, Commandant- 20 Bn CRPF in presence of Shri Tilak Raj (2-1/C). It is noteworthy that the 20 Bn CRPF under the aegis of IG (OPS) Jorhat Sector has been carrying out Civic Action Programme for the welfare and essential requirement of poor and needy people in the area of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong. The main objective of the programme is to cater basic assistance to the inhabitants of rural areas.
