DIPHU, Mar 29: Richard Tokbi, Hon’ble Child Rights held* Under the initiative of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights in collaboration with Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights a one day convention on child rights was held at KAAC Conference Hall, Diphu.
The event was graced by KAAC leaders including EM i/c Richard Tokbi and Mongolsing Timung.
Keynote speaker of the event was Rupali Banerjee Singh, Member Secretary, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, New Delhi.
Ritesh Enghi, Hon’ble EM, Nirupama Timungpi, Joint Secretary KAAC, Helen Terangpi, District Social Welfare Officer among CDPOs, ICDS Supervisor and others were also present. Highlighting the importance of NCPCR a meaningful presentation was made by the keynote speaker on ensuring Child’s Social, Emotional and Legal Rights, EM in his vote of thanks speech has extend gratitude to the guests, other visiting dignitaries and organisers on behalf of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council for taking such endearing step in raising awareness on the rights of Children, he also mentioned that KAAC that under the leadership of CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, significant steps has been taken for ensuing the rights and dignity of children, be it from providing the opportunity of universal education, nutrition, health and preventing from probable abuses such as child labour and trafficking through efficient implementation of schemes and enforcing legal safeguards in coordination with responsible agencies.
