BOKAJAN, May 28: The Assam Jatiyabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) today organised a felicitation event to congratulate and honour students who had excelled in the HSLC 2023 by getting Star Marks and Distinction. The event was held at Bokajan Higher Secondary School at around 2 PM in the afternoon.
Chaired by AJYCP central executive member Jitu Phukon, the event was attended by secretary Sandip Saikia, Bokajan Municipal Board vice chairman Sundor Engti, HM Atul Borgohain, teachers Ranjit Nath Bora, Lakhimi Beypi, Phonidhar Deka, Dulal Gogoi, Diganta Bora, Horen Engti and Waisong Terang.
The programme began with homage paid to eminent leaders of the past including founder of Karbi Anglong district Ru Semsonsing Ingti, Bishnu Rabha, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, Gopinath Bordoloi, and Ahom Roja Sukapha.
Among the students feted today, Lisia Engtipi and Suhai Kumari were the best performers with 94% marks.
