BOKAJAN, Aug 04: Alish Teronpi has been appointed as the new chairperson of Deopani constituency’s Village Development Committee (VDC). The people of Deopani are overjoyed to get the news of her appointment for the post and they rushed to her home to felicitate her.
Arlish is the first person to sit in the position after the last MAC elections in 2022. In the absence of a VDC chairman, locals said that the constituency had missed out and stayed behind in several aspects of development.
The newly appointed chairperson expressed her gratitude to KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, MP Horensing Bey, Assam Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker MLA Dr. Numol Momin, EM Surjya Rongphar, EM Mukut Mohonto and MAC Srabon Kumar Telenga for their support.
Arlish Teronpi is well-known among the public. Before joining the BJP, she had worked with the Congress and was the VDC chairperson of Deopani from 2009 to 2012. Locals said that she is a kind-hearted lady and also thinks for the welfare of the people.
