94,000 registrations received for Amrit Brikshya Andolan: Dy Commissioner

DIPHU, Aug 24: In a latest development, pre-revision works and all applications for new electors, deletions, correction have been halted till December 1, 2023. This was informed by the Karbi Anglong Deputy Commissioner Madhumita Bhagawati, ACS here in Diphu today.
Addressing media, the DC Bhagawati informed that In view of the latest EC delimitation order, the summary revision work which has been going on has now been stopped.
Further, she informed that all claims and objections period have fixed for one whole month (1st to 30th of December) when the integrated draft is published on December 1, 2023. Disposal of claims and objection will be concluded on January 15 and draft will be published on January 31, 2024. The Deputy Commissioner informed that individuals who would complete 18 years on January 1, 2024 could enroll their names in advance within December of this year.
On the Amrit Brikshya Andolan (campaign), the Karbi Anglong DC informed that out of their 1.21 lakh target, they have received 94,000 applications which include ASHA, Anganwadi workers, SHGs, police, of office of different departments. DC called upon citizens and individuals to join the campaign by enrolling their names within this by August 26 as plants have to be arranged for distribution.
