KOILAMATI, Aug 12: The annual meeting of self helps groups (SHGs) falling under the Nilip MAC Constituency was held at Nambor Community Hall Har in Phangcho village here today.
The annual meeting of the SHGs was chaired by Village Organisation president Basapi Rongpharpi and the agenda of the day’s meeting was briefed by Thirklong Village Organisation general secretary Cheka Phangchopi. The meeting which was held at 3 pm was attended, as chief guest, by Nambor area SGB Longki Phangcho. Other guests present at the meeting include Langsomepi area SGB Babu Teron, Nambor Nadi local president Ronjit Phangcho, general secretary Samuel Phangcho and GB Jen Phangcho among others.
During the meeting, Thirklong Village Organisation member Basapi Rongpipi was appointed as new president while Majuli Kilingpi was selected as vice president. In addition this, Cheka Phangchopi was appointed as the new general secretary while Mera Ingtipi was appointed as assistant secretary and Urmila Teronpi was appointed as treasurer of the new body. Other individuals who were appointed include Jivika Shakhi Elisha Terangpi, Khrishi Shakti Rani Ronghangpi and Bank Mitra Hema Engtipi.
Thirklong Village Organisation Jivika Shakhi Elisha Terangpi assisted several members in filing names, explained various rules pertaining to depositing and saving money, book keeping and the process involved in availing loans and repayment of loaned money. In addition to its group activities and finance presentation of financial report, outstanding members of SHG were also given best award for their outstanding services and performance at the meeting.
Altogether 180 members from 18 SHGs attended the annual meeting held today, official informed.
