BOKAJAN, Mar 19: A passing out parade of the Assam Special Reserve Force (ARSF) was held on Saturday at Karagaon in the Karbi Anglong-Nagaland border under Bokajan sub-division. The ceremony was held at the camp of the Assam Special Reserve Force 2nd Battalion, where 270 newly recruited constables were given farewell from the camp after they had completed their training.
The event of the day began with the lighting of lamp by the commandant of the 2nd Bn. ASRF. Local MLA as well as deputy secretary of the Assam Legislative Assembly Dr. Numol Momin attended as the chief guest of the event.
The chief guest was given a guard of honour and he inspected the new recruits. This was followed by a demonstration of various skills learned by the police personnel during the training course. They also performed march-past.
Chief guest Dr. Momin congratulated the new constables on the completion of their training. He wished them for their service life and appealed them to be honest and sincere and bring a good name for the state and the nation.
This was followed by oath-taking by the constables and the distribution of various awards. They also received certificates from the chief guest.
