Assamese poetry book released

DIPHU, Dec 10: An Assamese poetry book written by Iraj Kumar Saikia was released today in a small inauguration session held in Rangsina Bhawan, Lorulangso, Diphu.
The book titled “Julungat Rupali Mas” contains 77 Assamese poems. The poems are all of modern nature. During a brief introduction of the book by critic Rekibuddin Ahmed said that the book contains heart touching nostalgic poems.
The book has been inaugurated by Padmashree Dhaneshwar Ingti, in the presence of senior journalist Nogen Bora, Karbi Lammet Amei general secretary Joysing Tokbi, Deithor Model College principal Dr. Deepok Bora, former publisher of Paharidoot newspaper Mukul Baruah, several academicians, journalists and literature enthusiasts.
A teacher by profession, Iraj Kumar Saikia is working as subject teacher of Economics at Diphu Govt. Boys’ HS School. His first book was published in 2020 and Julungat Rupali Mas is his second book.
