BOKAJAN, 13 Aug: In the latest incident, at least five were severely injured after an autorickshaw hit the back of a moving truck at Khatkhati under the Khatkhati police station here this evening.
According to witnesses, the accident took place at around 5:30 pm when a truck with the registration number AS25FC0866 from Dimapur and heading towards Guwahati was hit by an AS09C5187 registered autorickshaw injuring the driver and four passengers.
The injured passengers who were identified as Balnuram Paik, Ritu Biswa, Rina Biswa, Rajen Biswa and the driver were immediately taken to Bokajan CHC for treatment. Later, the driver and a female passenger have been referred to Dimapur for better treatment.
Following the accident, the two vehicles involved in the accident were kept at Khatkhati Police Station.
