TUMPRENG, May 18: Bithung Rengthama BJPYM today conducted a voluntary blood donation camp at Dongkamukam community health centre in West Karbi Anglong. Led by BJYM president Longki Ronghang, several members of the organisation and local youths participated in the camp.
VDC Chairman Ramson Rongpi, KAAC board chairman Ditalal Hasnu, DMCH medical officer Dr. Dipak Das and health officers from Dongkamukam community health centre assisted in conducting the event.
“Blood donation is a commendable task. More people should come out to voluntarily donate blood in order to make it available to all who need them,” said VDC chairman Ramson Rongpi while praising the initiative carried out by the local BJYM.
BJYM president Longki Ronghang informed that more than 20 youths donated blood today. The blood collected will be sent to the hospital for storage so that patients can obtain them easily. He also said that his team is committed to conduct more such camps in the future.
