TUMPRENG, Apr 23: A 4-day long boxing training camp is being held at Jengkha under the initiative of the Boxing Association of West Karbi Anglong. The camp which began on April 21 was today graced by WKA Boxing Association president Prodip Ronghang, GS Kanghon Ronghang and Boxing coach Nabokoty Kolita.
More than 50 persons from Jengkha and other parts of the district are taking part in the training camp which is aimed at increasing the love for the game among the youths and children.
Talking to TDE, WKA Boxing Association GS Kanghon Ronghang said that there is a lot of scope in boxing and more children of the district need to join the game. He talked about great boxers like Lovelina Borgohain who had brought laurels to the state and the nation. He also thanked the Assam Amateur Boxing Association and KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang for their support in conducting the camp.
