


DIPHU, Mar 20: A full bench of the ECI led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar, election commissioners (ECs) comprising of Arun Goel and Anup Chandra Pandey is slated to visit Assam from March 26 to 28 for delimitation exercise. This was informed through a press note by Assan Chief Electoral Officer Nitin Khade.
“During this period, the Commission will like to interact with political parties, public representatives, civil societies, social organizations and State administration officials including District Election Officers/Deputy Commissioners of all districts of the State to gather first hand information and inputs concerning the on-going process of delimitation in the State of Assam. The Commission expects that all stakeholders will cooperate in the endeavour and will provide valuable suggestions so that the task of delimitation is completed timely,” the state CEO said.
Further, the state CEO in his press note informed that the Commission would interact with Recognized National and State political parties on 27.03.2023 from 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati and with public representatives, civil societies and social organizations on 27.03.2023 from 01:00 PM onwards at Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati. “The Hon’ble Commission would also interact with media persons on 28.03.2023 at 03:00 PM at Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati,” he added.
The CEO informed that all stakeholders/general public can submit their representations, to be placed before Commission, to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, on the email id ceo_assam@eci.gov.in or at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (Assam), Janata Bhawan, Block C, 4th Floor, Dispur by 23 March, 2023.
The representations can also be submitted on the official email ids or at the offices of respective Deputy Commissioner or District Election Officer by March 22, concluded the press note.
