DIPHU, Apr 13: In its commitment to promote quality education in the district, ceiling fans were distributed to 126 School of the twin districts of Karbi Anglong at Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Secretariat Conference Hall under Vidhyanjali Scheme today. This ceremony has been denoted exclusively for the school children belonging from various rural areas of West Karbi Anglong and Karbi Anglong districts.
Vidyanjali being a school volunteer programme, the DC of Karbi Anglong Madhumita Bhagawati also contributed 20 fans as an act of charity. Fans were also donated by School Management Committees and Government Employees.
EM incharge, Department of Education Richard Tokbi who graced the event as chief guest appealed all the government school teachers to generously contribute one fan each from their end to their respective school.
The event was attended KAAC secretary Nirola Phangchopi, Dilip Terang, Birensing Engti, Hemari Kro, Ram Rongphar, Tapas Das, Vikram Ronghang, Government School Teachers and others.
