BOKAJAN/DONGMUKAK/KOILAMATI, Apr 02: Like the believers of Christ around the world, the Christians across Karbi Anglong district observed Palm Sunday by holding processions, and singing hymns and prayers. They carry palm branches in their hands while they went for the procession.
All 11 churches under the Saphapani Area Baptist Fellowship and the 7 churches under Jilangso Baptist Fellowship joined in the observation by holding different activities in their respective churches.
Jilangso Baptist Fellowship, Nambor Baptist Fellowship and Langnirja Baptist Fellowship’s programme was led by chairman Monsing Bey and assisted by NKBA Mission Sub-Centre convenor Bipin Kro. NKBA Evangelist Atson Taro spoke at length on the significance of the day.
Likewise, St. Francis Assisi Church, St. Mary’s Church, St. Sabastian Church, St. Josept Church, St. Mathew Church, St Holy Cross Church and Mary Help of Christian also observed Palm Sunday.
11 churches under Tekelangjun also observed Palm Sunday. The followers here have urged for more cooperation and unity.
