DIPHU, Sept 15: In a latest incident, a dead body of a 26 years old man was found inside a rubber farm near Rongnong-eh under the Diphu police station here this morning.
According to the cops, the dead body of the deceased which was later identified as Eliyas Engti, was spotted at around 10:30 am. Further, according to the written petition of the elder brother, the deceased brother was ‘a habitual drunkard’ and used to stay at a jhum hut near the rubber farm.
Police informed that preliminary investigation suggests that he may have died due to weakness and excessive drinking but also asserted that the actual cause of death will be ascertained after the PM is completed. Inquest was done by Executive Magistrate and dead body is being brought to DMCH for holding PM exam. In this connection, a case under has been filed with the police station, the police concluded.
