BOKAJAN, May 03: In a terrible road accident that took place on Tuesday, two persons died on the spot. The accident happened on the NH39 road near Khatkhati Goutom Bosti under Bokajan police station, when a car had a head-on collision with a bike.
According to eyewitnesses, at around 11 AM, a speeding bike coming from the Dimapur direction collided with a car moving towards Dimapur. The car involved in the accident had the registration number AS 03 AG 6845. Both vehicles were moving at great speed and collided at a point where the road curved.
The biker and his pillion died on the spot, while the passengers inside the car also received major injuries. Onlookers immediately called for the 108 ambulance and took the injured to Dimapur, while the Khatkhati police reached the spot and sent the dead bodies for autopsy.
