BOKAJAN, May 12: 50 years old Rumila Terangpi, w/o Chandra Sing Teron, resident of Dillai Dong Thevang Kramsa village under the 21 Borjan Constituency have expressed hope to participate and earn medals for Karbi Anglong district in the upcoming SBKF 8th National Games to be held in New Delhi.
The 50-year woman started participating sports competition in February 2021 and have participated in competition held in Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Titabor and grabbed the attention of Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) which had led her to National Masters Game being held in Uttar Pradesh and Kerala where she won gold medals. Till now, she has earned a total of 18 medals.
The Karbi woman again got the call for 2023 National Masters Game scheduled in South Korea but could not participate due to lack of money. Despite this, the woman has not given up on her passion and is preparing to compete in the upcoming national games.
Following this, the woman has called upon the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and well wishers for their support towards her to led her represent the district, compete and earn medals for the people.
