DIPHU, Sep 05: With the theme ‘Quit Drugs Change Life, the District Judicial Karbi Anglong today conducted a bike rally to create awareness on drug abuse among the young generation. The rally was conducted with the participation of different biker associations and in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority, Karbi Anglong, Diphu Bar Association and the Karbi Anglong Police.
The main aim of the rally was to create awareness among the youths on how to fight against drugs and their abuses. They want to make people know about the means to bring back the drug addicted persons to a state of normalcy.
Among the rider clubs joining the programme were Barak Royal Rider, Jambili Motorcycle Club, Rebel Karbi Anglong, Karbi Anglong Motor Cycle Club and Vojaru. More than 100 bikers began the rally from the office of the Diphu Judicial Karbi Anglong and visited Diphu Govt. College, Diphu Govt. Boys HS School and then the Manja crossroad.
Before the rally initiated, the chief guest of the event, Justice Devasis Borwah of Guwahati High Court Cum Propholio Justice of Karbi Anglong and popular actor Rajib Kro were felicitated. The guests also inaugurated the Varnarable Wetness Deposition Centre tame at Diphu Judicial Court (compound).
