PHELANGPI, Aug 21: The officials of the Kheroni Range Forest of West Karbi Anglong had seized a TATA Mobile vehicle carrying illegal timber. According to the officials, at around 10 in the morning today, they intercepted a TATA Mobile bearing the registration number AS 02E 9505.
The intercepted vehicle was carrying teak timber concealed by pieces of bricks. Forest Ranger Monsing Tisso informed that the vehicle was seized during a regular patrol conducted by his personnel.
The timber and the vehicle are kept in the campus of the Kheroni Southern Range Forest.
