BOKAJAN, Mar 08: In a latest incident, forest fire has left a trail of massive destruction inside forest reserve around 8 kilometres away from Bornirja falling inside the 24 Deopani MAC Constituency.
Locals informed TDE that the forest fire was suspected to have been set off by some unidentified persons shocking locals and terribly concerned for their safety and threat to more areas. Locals further informed that there are many villages and farms of several individuals nearby the areas where fire are spreading. “However, so far fire have been prevented towards villages and farms by locals and farm owners,” a resident said.
Following this incident, residents of nearby villages have urged upon individuals to refrain from indulging in any dangerous activities that might cause irreparable damages to forest, villages and farms. The villagers also warned that if caught, no person would be spared and would be directly handed over to police.
