Foundation stone laid for  development of Dillai Market

Rs. 1.17 crore to be sanctioned through APART

DILLAI, Sep 05: Borjan MAC and KAAC EM Surjya Rongphar today laid the foundation stone for the project moderation and improvement of Dillai Weekly Market. The 1.17 crore project will be undertaken by the Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APART). Karbi Language Development Board chairman Nobin Terang, Borjan V.D.C Chairman Sonaram Singnar, Chief executive engineer Borpathar Road Division Esup Ali Ahmed, AEE Probhat Bey, Dillai LAMPS president Harlongbi Engleng, Dillai Bazar Committee president Tusheswar Terang, secretary Hundor Bey and several other local leaders were present in the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, EM Surjya Rongphar thanked KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang for bringing the APART project in Karbi Anglong as it will play an important role in boosting the rural economy of the district. He informed that along with many other places in the district, a similar project has been sanctioned for Khatkhati and Hidipi daily markets as well.

“The project will include market sheds, the office building of the bazaar committee, toilet blocks paver block road inside the market and solar street light.
