DONGMUKAK, Apr 20: Foundation stone for the construction of three storey building was laid today at Dokmoka. The foundation stone was laid by Dokmoka Municipal Board chairman Prahalad Timung in presence of along Mahamaya VDC chairman Rajesh Teron, Mahamaya BJP Mandal president Purno Engti, Ward Commissioner Sarlongki Tisso, Town Club president Puhor Teron, general secretary Ajit Ronghang and several staff member of the municipal board.
Speaking at the foundation laying event, Dokmoka Municipal Board chairman Prahalad Timung informed that the new three storey building would be constructed at the cost of Rs. 16 lakh which have been collected from the monthly tax. The Dokmoka Municipal Board chairman also stated that the ground floor would be reserved for Dokmoka Town Club while the top floors would be reserved for market.
Meanwhile, VDC chairman Rajesh Teron during his speech lauded Dokmoka Municipal Board chairman Prahalad Timung, vice-chairperson and ward commissioners for their work and commitment towards the overall development of the market. He expressed hopes that locals would benefit immensely from expansion of market and infrastructure facilities provided by the board.
