Free coaching center for civil service aspirants opened in Haflong

HAFLONG, Apr 01:  A 30-seated free coaching center named ‘Super 30’ for civil service aspirants of Dima Hasao was formally inaugurated by NCHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa at the premise of the district library in Haflong on Saturday.

The coaching centre has been introduced for the first time in the district under the initiative of NCHAC led by its CEM Debolal Gorlosa which will offer 30 aspirants from the district and will assist them in preparing for their UPSC/APSC civil service exam. It will intake aspirants who will clear an entrance test. The project has been budgeted under the NCHAC and will intake 30 students each year for preparing for their civil service examination.

The inaugural programme was followed by a seminar that was attended by hundreds of aspiring students.

Addressing the seminar Dima Hasao SP Mayank Kumar, IPS highlighted the role of civil service officers and gave a brief insight on UPSC civil service examination and a strategy to crack the examination.

SP Kumar also handed over sets of study materials/ books to the CEM which were contributed by Assam’s DGP G.P Singh, IPS.

CEM Gorlosa while addressing the program expressed the need for civil services officers from the district. He also encouraged the students saying that such service will bring them particular respect in society and glory for the district as well. He added that he is hopeful that the interested and aspiring candidates of the district for civil service examination will have exposure and guidance to crack the exams in the near future and requests the aspirants to make good use of the books.
