DIPHU, Aug 17: In today’s match of the ongoing Gautam Terang Memorial GDSA League 2023, Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC (KAMSFC) defeated KASA FCC to take its point to 12 and become the unbeatable champion of the year. KAMSFC registered victory today through the lone goal of the match in the 87th minute by Chesong Hanse.
KASA FCC made several attempts to score by breaking the defence line of the KAMSFC, but their attempts on the goal were foiled by the goalkeeper Nongkulat Ingti. For his fantastic performance, Nongkulat was awarded the ‘Best Player of the Match’ award.
After KAMSFC taking the top spot in the points table, KASA FCC and FC Karbi Anglong the strong contenders for the second spot.
On the other hand, the reigning champion Hills United FC have shown a very poor performance this year. If they could win in the next match against Waithai FC, the team will have to drop to B-Division League.
