BOKAJAN, May 02: A very heavy rainfall that occurred this afternoon left several houses flattened and hundreds of trees broken inside the Bokajan sub-division. The rain occurred at around 2:30 pm and was accompanied by a heavy storm.
The roads connecting Bokajan with several other towns were blocked by the fallen trees creating obstructions in the movement of vehicles. There were also reports of cars, bikes, farm properties and others being damaged in the rain in Talbalijan, Amrajan, Hanjanglangso and Silonijan.
Meanwhile, at Amrajan Manipuri village, one person died while he was out bringing home his cows. At the time of filing this report, the identity of the man was yet to ascertained.
