HAVARKEHAT, Sep 18: A heavy storm that occurred on Sunday night created havoc and destroyed several properties of the people under Havarkehat Constituency. The wind cyclonic storm occurred at around 11:30 PM in the night.
Uttar Borbil’s Chiru Ronghang village was among the most affected villages where the storm flattened or severely damaged about eight houses. Apart from houses, many big trees were also broken or uprooted.
Due to the storm, many electricity supply wires and poles were broken. This resulted in a power cut for the whole day in several parts of the constituency today, and the fallen trees also disrupted the free movement of traffic.
