TUMPRENG, Apr 27: A short spell of heavy rain and storm caused disruptions in vehicle movements between Jengkha and Kheroni in West Karbi Anglong.
The storm occurred this evening and resulted in several trees falling on the road thereby disturbing the movement of passengers and goods carrying vehicles. In some places, high-voltage electricity wires had also been broken.
Even though the exact numbers are yet to be known, there were reports of houses being damaged in the storm.
