BOKAJAN, Apr 21: In a success for Karbi Anglong police, heroin weighting about 37.48 gram was recovered from a man under Dillai police station at Lahorijan patrol post on Thursday night. The man was identified as M. Shomi based from Manipur state.
Local police informed that the illegal substance was recovered from a male passenger of a night super bus with the registration number MN01BA0003 which was heading toward Shillong from Manipur.
Lahorijan patrol post i/c Jiten Gogoi told TDE that the man was carrying the heroin which was hidden inside a mini plastic container and in a soap case consisting of 5 and 3 each respectively. The heroin was recovered as a result of a joint operation carried out by police and excised department personnel.
