DILLAI, May 04: Lahorijan police today seized large quantity of illegal liquor from a truck carrying cement. The truck bearing registration number AS01 KC1214, was coming from Guwahati and moving towards Dimapur.
The truck was carrying Raksha cement bags, with 380 cartons of illegal liquor hidden underneath. The driver Parman Ali and his handyman were arrested in this connection.
Excuse department personnel the spot and took the liquor in possession. The said that the market price of the seized liquor would be around rupees 6 lakhs. The arrested persons confessed that these liquor cartons were being brought from Guwahati.
