DONGMUKAK, Mar 22: Under the initiative of the NABARD’s project implementing Agency Yusuf Meherally Centre, a one-day integrated tribal development programme was held at Rasinja Aklam, Dongmukak unde Samelangso development block.
The event began with the lighting of lamp by NABARD chief general manager Naveen Dhingra and DDM Bendang Aier. The officers of the NABARD who were present at the event distributed free tree saplings to 230 families under Samelangso block.
The NABARD team also visited Langkeding Phangcho village where a farmer named Tilok Kro had donated 4 bighas of land to the NABARD for a nursery of fruit saplings. They also planted trees at the location.
