DIPHU, Apr 06: The Taxation Department under Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) through a notification released on April 4 approved the constitution of a new body of the Greater Diphu Bazaar Committee (GDBC). The newly constituted body along with its president Bidya Sing Tisso call a press meeting today to inform of the new body taking charge in the office.
Among other office bearers of the new GDBC are Sanjay Timung and Tinku Engti in the post of vice presidents, Sona Sing Rongpi in the post of general secretary and Jiban Bey and Ajat Kramsa in the post of AGS. Sosil Rongpi is given the charge of finance secretary along with Rajib Timung as his assistant, Prasant Tisso has been given the charge of office secretary with Reshop Kathar as his assistant. Joel Terang took charge as publicity secretary along with Sondon Terang as his assistant.
The advisory board for the new body includes Dr. Janta Pator, Dr. Habe Teron and Chandra Engleng.
This body will take charge for a period of one year from the day of the issue of the approval letter from KAAC.
