DONGKAMUKAM, Dec 14: ‘Unity, Victory and Prosperity Rally’ was held at Rongkuroi ME school playground some 7 kms away from Dongkamukam under No:5 Rongkhang MAC constituency, West Karbi Anglong on Thursday.
Attending as chief guest, Dr Tuliram Ronghang said that Autonomous State for the three hills Districts is not far away.
The President of India has consented to table a Bill for Assam Reorganization (Karbi Dimanchal) in Parliament he said. This shows that the present Government is serious enough to solve our long-standing demand which is a step closer to Autonomous State, he further said.
Therefore, he asked all the citizens of the districts to remain united and to maintain peace. Besides he warned that some vested political parties who is always trying to mislead the people and trying to bring turmoil.
MLAs Rupsing Teron, Bidyasing Engleng, Dorsing Ronghang, KAAC chairman Raju Tisso, EMs, MACs, board chairmen of KAAC and supporters attended.
Earlier KAAC chief inaugurated Rongkuroi PWSS (Retrofitting under JJM), also laid the foundation stone of a good number of schemes under JJM 2023-24 like Biopi Kramsa gaon PWSS, Longboi Ronghang Gaon PWSS, Satgaon Bajar PWSS, etc then model Anganwadi building under MLA ADs schemes 2023-24 Rongkuroi Bey Gaon, Doloni gaon etc.
A memorandum was also submitted addressing the KAAC chief for more development of the constituency. The chief also distributed some agricultural tools to few of the BPL families.
In the rally, hundreds from the opposition merged to the saffron party.
