DIPHU/DONGMUKAK, May 21: The Karbi Anglong Govt. Aided Higher Secondary School Teachers And Employees Association (KAGAHSSTEA), a body of teachers and employees of venture schools in the district today held a get-together cum body reshuffle meeting at Bakaliaghat Higher Secondary School.
During the meeting, the association shared their problems related to their service. They also shared ideas on how to contribute to giving quality education to the students. Senior teachers and leaders of the body appealed to more than 100 teachers present to be very sincere in their duties.
Later, a body reshuffle session was held in which some old office bearers were removed from the post and new persons were appointed. Through unanimous decision, Jishing Ronghang was appointed the new president, along with Runa Bongrungpi as the vice president.
Anjoy Engti retained the post of general secretary, with Harbamon Bey, Hoonmili Hansepi and Santi Enghipi as assistant secretaries. Semson Bey, Rana Laskar and Reba Hazarika were appointed as treasurers, while Prasanta Bora was made the publicity secretary.
Among the executive members of the body were Kurusar Bey, Megnath Sarma, Utpal Saikia, Motilal Khakhlary, Jiten Terang, Amit Yadav, Anjoy Terang, Sarmon Rongpi, Kanika Laskar, Jyoti Koch Kumar, Arthrojit Basumatary and Suksing Ramchairy.
