DIPHU, Mar 30: Four girls from Karbi Anglong won medals at the 44th Assam Junior Athletics Championship 2023 held today at Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati.
Sangmir Teronpi won Gold in the 1500m race clocking 5:16.34, and Lakshmi Beypi won Gold in 2000m completing the race in 7:24.53. Hemson Rongpi won silver in 5000m, while Martina Marak won Bronze in 2000m 7.51.34sec. The team was led by Diphu Athletics Academy coach Pokhila Engtipi. She had expressed her happiness about the performance of the athletes.
