KCS Forms Donsuri Chingri Zone adhoc committee in Dhansiri Constituency

DIPHU, July 22: As part of its ongoing efforts to expand its organisational reach, the Karbi Cultural Society (KCS) constituted the Donsuri Chingri Zone Adhoc Committee at Rajen Ronghang village today.
The meeting to form the new unit was convened at 10:00 AM and held under the jurisdiction of the Dhansiri Legislative Assembly Constituency. The gathering witnessed participation from KCS officials, local leaders, and community members.
Following detailed deliberations, Ranjit Kramsa was appointed as president, while Bidyasing Hanse was named the general secretary of the newly formed zone-level committee. Additionally, an adviser and over 30 members were inducted into various functional roles within the unit to strengthen the society’s grassroots activities.
The meeting was graced by KCS Central President Humsing Bey, along with members of the Karbi Students’ Association (KSA), village headman, prominent social workers, and local residents, in display of broad community support for the cultural body’s expansion.
The Karbi Cultural Society, being the apex organisation committed to preserving and promoting Karbi heritage, language, and traditions, continues to build its presence across the region to mobilise cultural awareness and identity at the grassroots level.
