TUMPRENG, Aug 06: The central committee of Karbi Cultural Scocity (KCS) along with Dongkamukam KCS zone today organized felicitation cum commemoration programme in coordination to the KYF Golden Jubilee celebration 2024 at Waisong playground of Donakamukam. During the programme, cultural activists were felicitated and commemorated for their effort and dedication towards the 4th & 12th KYF held in the year 1978 and 1986 respectively.
The programme was chaired by KCS President Chandrasing Kro and attended by KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, MLA Rupsing Teron, EMs, MACs, KAAC Board Chairman, Dongkamukam Municipal Board along with others esteemed guests. The programme began with paying homage to Ru Rangsina Sarpo and hoisting of KCS flag.
This was followed by a public meeting wherein KAAC CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang expressed words of gratitude towards cultural activists for working relentlessly in preserving the culture and identity of the tribe.
Later, CEM also made an announcement regarding the establishment of APSC & UPSC coaching centre in Dongkamukam town which will be a privilege to the civil exams aspirants.
While speaking to media, he also mentioned that a probe to the Assam Mala Scheme’s land compensation conflicts had been conducted and necessary action would be taken against the perpetrators.
