DIPHU, Aug 18: The Karbi Lammet Amei (KLA) today constituted the reception committee for its 34th annual conference slated to be held in January 2026, in Bhoksong town of West Karbi Anglong. The committee formation event was held today at Lt. Moniram Taro and Lt. Anjan Teron Memorial Hall, Bhoksong.
A delegate of the central committee of KLA reached Bhoksong this morning and was welcomed by local leaders of Bhoksong, including local MAC and KAAC EM Prabhat Chandra Taro. The two sides held a thorough discussion and selected EM Prabhat Ch. Taro as president of the reception committee and Babu Hanse as the general secretary. Other office bearers for the committee were also appointed.
Planning to hold the 34th annual conference in a grand manner with several remarkable activities. They are planning to release 100 books during the event. The organisation will also get its new central committee office bearers during the conference, with the presidential election expected to be held in November.
KLA CEC president Kamsing Hanse, vice presidents Karon Hansepi, Ramsing Phangcho, general secretary Liladhar Teron, AGSs On Teron and Kensing Rongpi, advisers Hukursing Rongpi, Joysing Tokbi, Sikari Tisso and several other members were present.
