TUMPRENG, Apr 05: The International Workers’ Day or May Day would be observed in the district. This was informed by the West Karbi Anglong Labour Union during a press conference here in Langhan today.
Addressing the press conference, the West Karbi Anglong Labour Union president Manav Kramsa informed that the day would be observed by their body and has urged upon all workers to join in their programme. The workers body president further informed that the event would be organised at Langhan playground. WKALU president also informed that prior to May Day, recreational and sports event would be also held for two days on April 29 and 30, 2023. WKALU president has called upon the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang for his support towards the labour’s body and an invitation to grace the day would also be soon sent to him.
