Correspondent BOKAJAN May 14: Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council MAC Kadom Terangpi distributed tin sheets to villagers affected by heavy storms under Sarupathar MAC Constituency.
Several houses were destroyed by the storm, leaving many villagers homeless and the worst affected areas were Hidiso and Hanjanglangso region.
Later she also visited the vicinity immediately on which locals told TDE that KAAC MAC Kadom Terangpi provided emergency relief materials to the victims. She also distributed tin sheets to the victims for reconstruction of their houses on 10 May. The villagers applauded MAC Kadom Terangpi for helping them at a time when they needed help the most.
“MAC Kadom Terangpi is not just a leader but a selfless human being. Her devoted service to people is appreciative,” said the villagers.
