JAPRALANGSO, Aug 11: Residents of three villages in Upper Majung, under Bokajan Development Block’s Sarupathar constituency, are frustrated with the delayed Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) project. Despite being under construction for over a year, the project remains incomplete, leaving villagers without access to safe drinking water.
“We have been hoping that the project would solve our drinking water problem, but it seems that our wait will be longer than expected,” said a frustrated woman.
The public demands answers, questioning whether the contractor or the JJM department is responsible for the delays. They have urged the authorities to investigate the matter, provide a revised timeline, and complete the project to provide safe drinking water to the villagers.
