BOKAJAN, Jul 25: In a shocking incident, a woman was hacked to death by her husband at Kawaram Taro village under the Bokajan Police Stration on Wednesday morning. Following this, a pall of gloom has descended the family.
The deceased was identified as Bonita Kakoti and was killed at her own house. According to the deceased daughter, the incident took place at around 7 am when her father, identified as Topon Kakoti hacked her mother to death while she was sleeping. “I heard my father yelling – I killed your mother and now I am coming for you. Upon hearing his yell, I ran to the room to really find my mother already dead and I immediately alerted neighbours with my loud scream,” the shocked daughter narrated.
The local police were also immediately alerted and reached the spot and arrested Topon Kakoti, the accused husband for investigation and departmental processes.
Meanwhile, the daughter and the neighbours told TDE that the husband was acting weirdly and appears like he was suffering from some psychological disorder. Further, according to sources, there had been verbal altercation in the family has been heard for the past few before the shocking incident.
Cops told TDE that the accused husband has been sent to prison and would be brought before the court for further action on the matter.i
