BOKAJAN, Apr 10: The Manipuri Sahitya Parishad had conducted it’s 61st annual conference on April 8 and 9 at Bokajan Sports Association auditorium hall, Bokajan.
On the first day, the event began with the hoisting of flag by the Parishad president Ngangom Joykumar Singh. This was followed by paying of tribute led by vice president Basanta Kumar Singha. Later in the afternoon, a delegates meeting, general assembly, poet’s meet and culture programmes were also conducted.
On the second and concluding day, president Ngangom Joykumar Singh presided a seminar. This session was attended as the chief guest by local MLA Dr Numol Momin. In the event, the Manipuri community coming from different parts of the state discussed on several issues related to the community and the means to maintain unity among themselves.
