Correspondent DILLAI, May 19: Chandra Timung was appointed as the Chairman of Large Area Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society (LAMPS) today while Janasing Tokbi as the Vice-Chairman during the Board of Directors meeting held at Hidipi. The meeting was attended by the Returning Officer Firoze Engti as guest during the session. The appointment of the said post was totally based on non-election and appointed by the Board of Directors through consultation. Moreover the Board of Directors meeting was held in connection to the LAMPS election conducted on 13th May at Hidipi market. There were at least 24 candidates during the election out of which 14 were now the elected members of LAMPS for the next five years.
