Nation Unites Under the Tricolour: ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2025’ Rekindles Patriotic Spirit

DIPHU, Aug 04: In the spirit of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Government of India once again launched the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign for 2025, with an aim to encourage citizens to hoist the National Flag at their homes from 13th to 15th August 2025.
The initiative aims to deepen the emotional connection of every Indian with the Tiranga, promoting national pride and unity.
The campaign urged public participation through both physical hoisting of the flag and digital engagement. Citizens are encouraged to upload selfies with the flag on harghartiranga.com and pin a digital Tiranga on the website. Special emphasis is being placed on mass awareness through outreach in schools, colleges, government offices, Self Help Groups, youth organizations, and NGOs.
In Karbi Anglong district, the District Administration is actively making preparations to ensure the campaign is widely observed and impactful. A coordination meeting was held today at the District Conference Hall, Diphu, presided over by Smt. Ankita Bora, ACS, Additional Deputy Commissioner. During the meeting, the ADC briefed the departments on the three-phase programme and issued key instructions.

Departments were directed to organize quiz, drawing, and rangoli competitions in schools based on the Tiranga theme, set up selfie points, and implement Tricolour lighting at their offices. The Handloom & Textile Department was urged to promote Tricolour-themed weaves and products, while ASRLM was tasked with engaging SHGs to prepare decorative items such as garlands and diyas. A joint awareness campaign will also be conducted by the Departments of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Jal Shakti, and Ministry of Culture across both urban and rural areas.
Educational institutions and civil society organizations in the district are playing a pivotal role in mobilizing public involvement. This year’s campaign continues the momentum built over the past two years, aiming to make the National Flag a symbol of active citizenship and collective pride.
