KOILAMATI, Sep 22: Under the initiative of the Nilip BJP Mohila Morcha a one-day free health camp was held at Chokihola Wophong Teron village under Nilip constituency. The programme was conducted keeping in view the increasing number of fever cases among the people in rural areas.
Local BJP Mohila Morcha leaders informed that in all the 26 constituencies under KAAC, such free health camps will be conducted in order to celebrate the birthday of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Nilip BJP Mohila Morcha president Phudang Phangchopi, secretary Aroti Teronpi, VP Mary Timungpi , IT Cell in-charge Merina Ingtipi took the lead and was cooperated by Chokihola BPHC i/c Dr. Tenzing Ingti and his medical team. District Mohila Morcha GS Jelina Rongpipi, members Alice Teronpi, MAC Pobitra Rongpi’s wife Juliet Singnarpi and several members of Nilip BJP Mondol committee were also present.
Nilip BJP Mandol Committee general secretary Relipson Teron said that many poor families are unable to afford proper health check-ups and medicines. The medical camp was held in order to address the needs of such poor and needy families. He also appealed to the authority to make healthcare facilities available for the rural areas.
Dr. Tenzing Ingti informed TDE that more than 150 persons took benefit from the camp.
